Dun Wing

Simple Strip Wing, early 19th century. Pattern as per Francis Francis.

Tail: One topping and sprigs of tippet
Body: Light orange, red-claret, darkish blue and black pig's wool in about equal portions merging into each other
Ribs: Broadish silver tinsel
Hackle: A black hackle down to the red wool, a few fibres of the blue wool picked out a the breast
Wings: Two strips from the dun brown feather sometimes found in the tail of the turkey
Head: Black
